BACKGROUND

Chatterbox have been providing excellent early childhood care and education services for the past 5 years. They are a privately owned business that offer early learning services with longer hours in Brisbane. Their locations include:

  • Paddington
  • Taringa
  • Albany Creek

Chatterbox contacted Marketing Angels for assistance with a brand refresh for their 3 centres along with new stationery design, signage, new informative materials for parents and a new website.  They also were looking for assistance with their strategic marketing direction.

The Approach

Marketing Angels conducted research across their centres and their target market families to provide insights to determine the best strategic direction going forward for the marketing function. The next step was to conduct a Half Day Brand & Marketing workshop where we identified that Chatterbox needed to create a simple, powerful brand that highlighted their passion to provide a caring environment that supports families and encourages children to reach their full potential.

The Chatterbox brand was well established, however not reflective of the new direction they wished to move forward in, in the market. We re-worked the established brand to refresh and reflect their heritage and future.

The new branding highlighted Chatterbox’s strengths in providing care and education for children. The following outcomes were achieved:

  • New positioning statement – Laugh. Play. Grow
  • Logo refresh

  • Development of a marketing strategy to guide the business direction moving forward
  • New brand creative
  • New website
  • Local area marketing kit including:
    • Press release to increase enrolments
    • Wrote the content and created a press advertisement
    • Created a flyer to distribute across the local community
    • Created a magazine advertisement
    • Created a direct mail piece to drive enrolments

Results

As a result of the brand refresh and with the new website and new logo ‘Chatter’ the monkey, along with the tagline of of ‘Learn. Laugh. Play. Grow’ there is now a clear understanding of what Chatterbox stands for. The awareness of the centres in their markets has increased and the new website has led to an increase in overall website leads. All three centres have achieved their occupancy objectives.
